Nemo unveils a tent design optimized for hot, humid climates

6/29/2026 · Camp Freaks Editorial

Designing for heat, not cold

Most tent marketing focuses on cold-weather performance, but Nemo's newest release flips that priority. The tent uses a significantly higher mesh-to-fabric ratio on the inner tent, paired with a rainfly that can be pitched high off the ground for maximum airflow during dry weather, or pegged low for full monsoon protection.

A good fit for Malaysian conditions

Reviewers testing the tent in similarly hot, humid climates have praised the reduced condensation build-up compared to standard three-season tents — a common complaint among campers in Malaysia's rainforest and coastal campsites.

Pricing

The tent sits in the mid-to-premium range, reflecting the more complex two-mode rainfly design.
